Flood!

Our tiny little town has made national headlines due to a flood! A small section of our community is currently under up to 8 feet of water in some parts. A levee broke on part of an irrigation canal after heavy rains. We live in a desert, so this was completely unexpected for many.
As many as 300 to 400 homes are destroyed. Luckily no one has been injured due to the floods.
We are ok - we live about 3 miles from the flood. In fact, we didn't even know about the disaster until friends and family members started calling us from all over the country to see if we were ok. Then we turned on the news to see what they were talking about.
Please keep the families who lost their homes in your thoughts and prayers.

Terrible that such flood happened so close where you live. I am happy that nothing happened with your family, Kelly.

Like you wrote there I will keep the people who had problems with this flood in my prayers.
