Booster Seat
So, my child is no longer one of the 90% of children in the U.S. who should be using a booster seat and are not. Tyler is 6 years old and Nevada law specifies that all children under 6 years old and weighing 60 pounds or less must be secured in child restraint system while being transported in motor vehicle. So, we had been just buckling him up, but when I heard that the federal government recommends that children under 4'9" tall should ride with a booster seat and that children prematurely moved to seat belts are 4 times more likely to suffer serious head injuries during a collision than children in child safety or booster seats – well, we did what we thought was best and moved him back into a booster! Importance of Reading
While the Malloy clan are filled with avid readers (I converted DH when we got married) it is not always easy to raise readers - I do struggle with Powell at times!
Here are some tips on encouraging your child to read:

Blogvertise!
So the non-profit gig is not the highest paying one in the World (well, truthfully right now it is non-paying)! But, at least I know I am doing some good in my community!
Anyway, until my Board of Director's get their butts in gear and fundraise, or the grant fairy drops a few thousand dollars in our laps, I am looking for a few ways to help the hubby make the ends meet. A fellow blogger mentioned http://www.blogsvertise.com/ as a great way to earn a few extra dollars.
I am the research queen - so of course I googled these http://www.blogsvertise.com/ people to see if I could get the real info. Well, much to my surprise, and hopefully bank account's delight, they appear to be a great compant for bloggers to earn a little cash.
http://www.blogsvertise.com/ Pays you to blog about various different products or services. The best part is that you don't have to lie for the money. If you hate the thing you are reviewing you still get paid - and if you love it - well, you get paid for something you love! What could be better?

And I thought my car was a mess!
With 6 boys you can imagine just how messy a van can get - especially after a trip to the Golden Arches! But, at least it's not this bad:
Here's the full story http://wbztv.com/local/local_story_043180147.html
Is this the flow chart my boys are using?
I think this flowchart goes a long way in explaining the holes in my walls (that no one knows how they got there)! At least DH is handy!
